The Government of Barbados has instituted several measures to facilitate the easy resettlement of returning and overseas nationals. The 'Charter for Returning and Overseas Nationals' embodies a number of generous concessions which have been granted to nationals returning to Barbados. The objectives of the Charter are: |

 To create the appropriate conditions which would facilitate the re-integration of returning nationals into the society as easily as possible; |
|
| |
|
To increase the potential human and other resources available to the country, directly through the returning national themselves, and indirectly through the creation of a more conducive atmosphere for services and investment by nationals remaining abroad; and |
|
| |
|
To facilitate the development of a retirement industry in Barbados. |
